We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Remote Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeping Assistant

Locations: Abuja (FCT) & Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

• As an Accounting Assistant, you will work closely with a senior accountant to support day-to-day financial operations.
• Your primary responsibility will be maintaining accurate financial records, handling basic bookkeeping tasks, and assisting in preparing reports to ensure our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and categorize daily financial transactions.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain digital filing systems for financial documentation.
• Assist the senior accountant with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Candidates should possess minimum of an OND / HND / B.Sc Degrees in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience: 1 – 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (internships count!).

Skills:

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Bonus: Experience working remotely.
